# Facilitator Test Plan

Use this to pilot the NotebookLM AI Certification Quest with one true beginner and one mixed group.

## Pilot 1: True Beginner

Learner profile:

- Can use email and a web browser.
- Has no AI, GitHub, Netlify, Vercel, coding, deployment, or API background.

### Setup Test

Ask the learner to:

1. Open NotebookLM.
2. Create a notebook named `Claude Certification Quest`.
3. Add at least one source.
4. Ask NotebookLM one question.

Pass criteria:

- Learner can complete the steps with the `start-here.md` guide and no live explanation.

Observation notes:

- Where did the learner hesitate?
- Which words caused confusion?
- Which step needs a screenshot or simpler wording?

## Required Success Criteria

The learner can:

- Create a NotebookLM notebook without help.
- Add at least one source.
- Select or deselect sources for a focused question.
- Ask a source-grounded question and inspect at least one citation.
- Save one useful response as a note.
- Generate a study guide.
- Generate or use a Mind Map.
- Generate flashcards.
- Generate a quiz.
- Generate or use an Audio Overview.
- Generate or use a Video Overview.
- Generate or use an Infographic.
- Generate or use a Slide Deck.
- Generate or use a Data Table if the feature is available.
- Write a prompt using `Task + Context + Audience + Format + Constraints`.
- Identify at least 3 things not to paste into AI.
- Complete the Final Boss quiz at 80 percent or better.

## Pilot 2: Mixed Group

Learner profile:

- Some true beginners.
- Some faster learners.
- No requirement for coding or deployment tools.

### Group Test

Run Worlds 0 through 2 together, then let learners choose either:

- Standard path: complete the core missions.
- XP Boost path: complete optional bonus missions after each world.

Pass criteria:

- Beginners do not feel left behind.
- Faster learners have enough optional challenge.
- Everyone completes at least one strong prompt and one verification task.

## Facilitator Prompts

Use these when learners get stuck:

```text
What is the one thing you want the AI to do?
```

```text
What context would a new teammate need before doing this task?
```

```text
What would happen if this answer were wrong?
```

```text
Is there any private information in this prompt that should be removed?
```

## NotebookLM Feature Coverage Gate

Before calling the program ready, complete `notebooklm-live-build-checklist.md`.

The live notebook must prove coverage of:

- Sources and Source Guide.
- Chat with citations.

- Saved notes.
- Mind Map.
- Flashcards.
- Quizzes.
- Audio Overview.
- Video Overview.

- Slide Deck.
- Data Table, when available.
- Output language when serving multilingual learners.
- Sharing only when sources and artifacts are safe to expose.

## Revision Rules

After each pilot:

- Remove or rewrite any confusing term.
- Split any mission that takes more than 15 minutes for a beginner.
- Add an example wherever a learner asks, "What does that mean?"
- Keep optional XP Boosts separate from required work.
- Do not add developer tools unless the next program version explicitly targets builders.
