Initially, after sod installation, it's crucial to keep the new turf moist. Water the sod daily, ensuring it stays consistently damp for the first two weeks. As the sod establishes its roots, gradually reduce watering to twice a week, allowing the soil to dry slightly between watering sessions. 

This process encourages deep root growth, leading to a healthier and more resilient lawn. Always monitor the moisture level of the sod and adjust the watering schedule as needed based on weather conditions and soil moisture.

Early fall or spring is the ideal time for sod installation, as these seasons offer mild temperatures and moist soil conditions. These conditions promote quick root establishment, allowing the sod to take hold and thrive. 

Additionally, these seasons provide the optimal environment for the grass to establish itself before the stress of summer heat or winter cold sets in, contributing to a healthy and successful lawn.

It's crucial to allow at least six weeks before applying fertilizer to newly installed sod. This waiting period ensures that the sod has established properly in the soil. When applying fertilizer, use a balanced product and follow our instructions carefully to avoid over-fertilization, which can damage the delicate root system.
